      Verdict

It is very hard to be dogmatic in nominating a selection given that so many of these have not run but, from a short list containing Easy Lover, La Roca, Medley and Relkida, we will side with Relkida. Where to begin? Abunia is related to a number of winners, Easy Lover is an 80,000 guineas daughter of Pivotal, Gib is a 30,000 guineas daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar, there is enough speed in the John Dunlop-trained Goodwood Belle's pedigree to make her of interest, La Roca has shown improvement in two starts and, as she will not lack for experience, has to be considered strongly, while the in-form Richard Hannon's Medley is related to a number of juvenile winners and has also to be considered. Relkida ran a fine race to be third over course and distance on her debut, particularly given that she ran green. With the runner-up there having won since, she too gets respect. Finally, with Ed Dunlop running Trickle, Barry Hills fielding the 140,000 euros purchase Tee Off, Brian Meehan saddling Susanna's Prospect and Clive Brittain running Sparkling Eyes, this has the look of an informative affair, with our selection being Relkida.
