Verdict

STAR ARCHER made a promising start when only beaten half-a-length over 7f at York on his debut. He'll be expected to go one better here but Salouen has run well in three of his four starts, though the step up in trip could cause problems. Genetics shouldn't fall short on stamina, however, as he's by Manduro and his dam won three times over 1m2f at Longchamp. Go On Mayson and Midnight Man may have some scope but will find easier opportunities.
