Verdict

Nacho Libre is selected here ahead of Hustle and Crystal Reign. The Barry Hills-trained Nacho Libre showed promise when fifth on his Newbury debut and he can go well with that experience behind him. He was backed on that occasion and today's longer trip could serve him well. Despite being from good stables, Palm Court and Rimrock are going to have to show more than they have on the racecourse so far if they are to feature today but watch the betting for clues. Compton Ridge, a 46,000 guineas son of Compton Place, Crystal Reign, a 38,000 guineas son of Noverre, Sir Michael Stoute's Determind Stand, who cost 200,000 guineas, Hustle, a 100,000 euros son of Choisir, and Mick Channon's 150,000 guineas son of Alhaarth, Natmana, are the most interesting newcomers. Once again, though, the selection is Nacho Libre.
