In depth

Verdict

Invincible Ridge, Gold Pearl and ESCHOLIDO appear to be the three to concentrate on here although the market will, as ever, be useful. Although a high draw may not be the advantage that it once was at this track it's certainly no hindrance to the chances of Escholido whose racecourse experience wins him the vote following an encouraging run at Ayr where he had Plenty Power behind. The slight concern is that he may need further in time whereas this trip looks tailor made for Invincible Ridge who represents a powerful yard and he has to be feared given his trainer's record with juveniles at the track. Gold Pearl was well backed ahead of his debut and should make a bold bid to go one better with Ryan Moore a rare and positive booking for the stable.
