Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute's Visualize held on well when successful here in a maiden over 1m2f last month and has to be of interest on her handicap debut off a mark of 73 over an extra two furlongs but he may have to settle for minor honours with preference for SHELFAH, who gets the vote ahead of Calypso Star. Richard Hannon's colt has been running well on the Polytrack recently and made a creditable return to turf over course and distance behind High On A Hill last month and he has every chance of reversing running with Sylvester Kirk's colt on 4lb better terms for their running that day but there should not be much to choose between the two of them. As well as Calypso Star, Richard Hannon is also represented by Gordon Flash and Love Action with the former of that pair looking the pick of the two having gone close behind Blinka Me in the soft ground at Warwick earlier this month but the faster going today is a concern. Brendan Powell's Pullyourfingerout is closely matched with High On A Hill and Calypso Star on running here last time and he is another to be respected but it is Shelfah that gets the vote. Michael Jarvis has his string in good order right now and the daughter of Selkirk, who won well at Kempton on her reappearance, lost no caste in defeat at Folkestone over 1m2f last time when beaten by the narrowest of margins by Berling and she looks worth backing to go one better today despite a 4lb rise since that run.
