      Verdict

      A terrific listed event, thought good enough for Aidan O'Brien to send a runner and we will take the hint and select Briolette to beat Red Peony and Polar Jem. This filly is certainly not one of the stable stars, but has shown plenty of ability in Group company, including a recent third behind Ouija Board at Newmarket. That form has already been given a boost and Briolette looks the one to beat today. Polar Jem was back in sixth ion that occasion so has a bit to find with the selection, but he does hold strong claims on previous form this campaign. Red Peony is progressing nicely and landed a very competitive handicap at York last time. She is stepping up in class but should be capable of getting involved in the finish. Whirly Bird, is also on the upgrade and looks the pick of the others, but class should tell here and Briolette has plenty.
