Verdict

CEFFYL GWELL is improving with each start and can get off the mark today. Richard Hannon's colt seemed to relish the soft ground at Warwick when unlucky to bump into a progressive rival in Chill. After his last performance you couldn't be 'russian' to back Putin, whilst Cheylesmore was too keen at Newcastle last time out on desperate ground. Newcomer Birdwatcher is from a successful family and this 60,000 guineas purchase joins Web Of Dreams on the list of interesting newcomers. Elegant Muse looks a huge player; she got to within three lengths of subsequent Group-placed (three times) Margot Did and although off since she must go close. At a price Tony Hollis might run well given his trainer has a good knowledge of the juvenile form this year.
