Farsighted is the least exposed of these and put up a gutsy performance when successful at York last time, making all the running, but that was on testing ground and it remains to be seen whether he will be as effective under these conditions so preference is for Lake Sabina, with Maddy rated the pick for the remainder. The selection ran well on testing ground last time but should appreciate the faster ground today and looks worth an interest in a competitive contest. Richard Hannon's runners in this grade always have to be respected and his representative Penrice Castle is no exception, although she was well beaten in a Kempton nursery last time. Karl Burke's Alabama Spirit looks to be going the right way and has to be considered along with Deal Flipper from the in-form yard of Peter Winkworth. Ralph Beckett has done well with his youngsters this term and his runner Maddy has to be respected back on turf today but preference is for Lake Sabina.
