Pearl Blue went up 14lb for scoring at Sandown in August so it was hardly a surprise when she was beaten at Chester. Solemn won a couple of races in May though he'd already had two runs previously so this can go to STYLE AND PANACHE. David Evans' filly ended the last campaign with a victory at Nottingham and she won here in June off a 2lb higher mark than she races off today. She will have come on for her recent run at Yarmouth and looks well treated.
