In depth

Verdict

Atlantic Viking made a fruitful journey south last time and can land the travel expenses again from stable-mate Onlytime Will Tell and Piccleyes. The selection was much the best of the field on official ratings when successful in a similar race at Bath and, though a little sluggish in the early stages, asserted his authority at the business end to score in the manner of a proverbial good thing. This race does look slightly more taxing but a follow up could be on then cards. Onlytime Will Tell is giving weight away all round here but has sound claims on a recent second to Khabfair at Ascot. Piccleyes looked to be returning to his best when chasing home Bella Boy Zee at Doncaster and is weighted to go close here. The third Nicholls runner Loyal Tycoon can also be given a squeak on recent efforts, but we will side with his stable companion Atlantic Viking.
