In depth

Verdict

Mount Clerigo, Lord Killeshanra, and The Listener are the three that catch the eye here and Mount Clerigo is taken to follow up a recent success. Lord Killeshanra turned in his best performance to date when scoring at Exeter last time and he will go well if reproducing that effort. He is progressive. Robert Alner's The Listener was an impressive scorer at Exeter last time and went into many notebooks as a horse to follow. However, the ground was very testing on that occasion and he may find it less to his liking here. Mount Clerigo has always been held in some regard by his trainer and although only fourth on his re-appearance at Chepstow he showed considerable improvement when scoring at Uttoxeter last time. Mount Clerigo will come on still further for the run and can win again.
