Verdict

Maidens here regularly attract some of Newmarket's bigger players and this one is no exception. James Fanshawe will be expecting more from Kempton fourth Golden Emerald while Roger Varian's Keeper's Ring ran green on debut. Rectitude was very slowly away at Newmarket at the start of the month and is another with scope but SHAMA'S CROWN looks the one to beat. She was only beaten a length-and-a-half by Pleasant Valley at Doncaster earlier this month and the latter easily won a handicap on Town Moor on Saturday. Labise hasn't raced since on April or on Turf but Rome keeps hammering on the door, though is another switching from the Polytrack. Lu's Buddy looks best of the rest.
