DESERT LIAISON is preferred to Akamon, Copper Penny and newcomers Titbit and Eden Nights in a fascinating maiden. Jeremy Noseda's Dansili filly shaped well in a good Newmarket maiden last August before finishing in fifth at Yarmouth on her second start earlier this month. She caught the eye there when staying on well under hands and heels and with that run under her belt should go close today. Akamon is open to more improvement this year as she steps up in trip, Half Sister and Princess Seren should both improve now stepped up in trip, whilst Starclass shaped with promise at a big price in a Salisbury maiden in October and should run well. Titbit is bred to win at this sort of trip, Eden Nights is related to some classy animals over in America and cost £350,000 as a yearling, whilst Main Spring represents a yard in good form and looks another potential improver. With Pursestrings and Easy Terms both improving with their racing this has the makings of a trappy race, however preference is for Desert Liaison.
