Verdict

FANTINO can be expected to appreciate the ease in grade today and gets the nod as a speculator¿s choice to land a tricky handicap: the in-form Kyle Of Bute and Lucy's Perfect have to be respected as dangers, while My Girl Jodie is one to bear in mind if the market speaks in her favour. The last named won over this trip at Yarmouth during the summer and has fared reasonably well in two outings since. Her yard has enjoyed a purple patch as the season draws to its conclusion and this daughter of Haafhd could be good value to make the frame; especially if all 16 acceptors make it to post. Lucy's Perfect put in her best effort to date to win here earlier this month. Stepping back to 10 furlongs obviously suited her on that occasion and it would be no surprise to see an improved effort from Rod Millman's charge now she is pitched at the right level. Kyle Of Bute has been in cracking form and fully deserved to win last time out. An 8lb higher mark does look harsh, though, and he may be vulnerable from top weight. Therefore, it can be worth taking a chance that Fantino gets the breaks in running today. Unexposed at the trip, the mount of Alan Munro ran a blinder the last time he tried 10 furlongs and, as this looks easier than many of his recent outings, Fantino has a solid chance of adding to his tally in the finale.
