      Verdict

DANCE EAST gave subsequent Ribblesdale second Eldalil a real fright on her seasonal return before cruising home at Beverley and can go in again from Kajima, with Fonterutoli best of the rest ahead of Osgood. Jeremy Noseda's filly is beautifully bred, being out of a dam who is the half-sister to Racing Post Trophy winner Saratoga Springs. With that in mind this step up in trip shouldn't be a problem, indeed when she won at Beverley last time she shaped as though it'd help her to improve. On a literal reading of her previous second she's got to be well treated off 83, a rating given before Eldalil ran so well at Royal Ascot, and we expect her to win. Kajima has done well this term and it's hard to criticise his third at Epsom last time. That was over seven but he's won beyond a mile and indeed could improve for stepping back up in trip, so with his mark of 82 unchanged a big run is likely. Fonterutoli disappointed off this mark last time but that wasn't his running - he may've resented having to set the tempo - and his maiden second to Victoire De Lyphar reads very well as that one is now rated 97. Marco Botti has his runners ticking over nicely and he can improve for returning to the turf, although perhaps not enough to win. Osgood may benefit for dropping in trip having travelled well only to be out-battled last time but this is a tougher race and he needs to find more, although having had only four starts he's far from exposed, whilst Krymian isn't living up to expectations and looks one to avoid. Flip Flop's Listed fifth last term reads well but he's not repeated those heroics since and remains opposable and we'll return to Dance East who looks nap material on the card.
