Our shortlisted four in the opener are Top Royelle, Pat Will, Bluebelle Dancer and Samahir, with the vote going to Top Royelle. Top Royelle ran green on her debut but then stayed on for a never-nearer fifth-placed finish behind Silk Blossom at Newmarket. Normal improvement from that should see her go well, as long as the going is not too testing. From the same in-form Richard Hannon yard, Babylon Sister has plenty to like on breeding, while Willie Muir's Bluebelle Dancer cost 64,000 guineas and is another to give some thought to. Of course, with so little being known about these runners, the same can be said of Brian Meehan's pair Lorena Wood and Maid Of Ale. Miss Otis cost 28,000 guineas and is speedily bred (and keep an eye on how the same stable's juvenile runs in the opener at Bath today), while Pat Will showed some promise from a wide draw at Chester on her debut. Relkida is another to give some thought to and, with her stable in such good form, Samahir also has to get a mention. Overall, though, the betting might provide you with some guidance but, without that, we will side with Top Royelle.
