Top Spec has been running with credit in handicaps but looks a shade high in the weights in that grade at present and may do better dropped into a claimer now so gets the vote ahead of Turbo and Mad Carew. The last mentioned was claimed out of the stable of David Evans after landing a similar contest at Carlisle two starts ago but disappointed on his first outing for new connections in a handicap her last time and may be best watched now. Iffy has shown improved form in handicaps of late but faces no easy task at the weights. Frontier was very disappointing at Bath last time but may do better back in distance this evening, while Arabie is clearly not a s good as he once was and is proving to be difficult to win with. Harcourt gave little sign for encouragement at Sandown on Saturday and of more interest may be Michael Bell's Magic Sting, who will not mind any rain that falls. Similar comments apply to Turbo, who is also well treated on official BHB ratings but Top Spec has an obvious chance in this company and is taken to gain a deserved success.
