In depth

Verdict

Peter Hiatt's Maslak stayed on well when successful at Goodwood last time but a 3lb rise for that win makes an attempt to follow up difficult and preference is for the reappearing SILENT ACT, who gets the vote with Ramona Chase rated the best of the rest. The selection lacks a run this term but Amanda Perrett has her string in good from right now so that should not be a problem for her and she looks worth siding with in this contest off a fair mark. Marju King was well held on his reappearance and of more interest may be Where's Susie, who has been performing consistently well of late but probably needs some help from the handicapper. Ramona Chase is better than he showed at Newmarket last time and has every chance on earlier form here but Silent Act looks well enough treated on his return and looks the one to be on.
