Verdict

Roger Charlton trained the favourite in this last year but his charge could only finish third. He'll be hoping for better luck with BORDER LEGEND, who went close in a couple of decent handicaps over 1m2f last month. His only run over this trip so far was inconclusive but he's the one to beat if he stays. Al Saham has won three times over 1m4f, including at Ascot last time. He's been raised 6lb but should still be thereabouts and Richard Fahey has few runners here so Mica Mika warrants a second look. He's consistent and, though a pound out of the handicap, Samantha Bell's claim will aid his cause. Ajman Bridge should strip fitter for his fifth at Lingfield while Resurge and Pasaka Boy aren't without a chance either.
