Cawdor ran well on his debut and is taken to land the opener on only his second start at the expense of Damien and Barnezet. The selection finished third of twelve on his debut at Windsor running a little green as would be expected on his first outing. With that experience now behind him he should improve and if that is the case he could prove difficult to beat. Of the newcomers Damien looks the pick on breeding and the fact that connections have a good strike rate with their first timers he is one to note in the betting market. Barnezet improved from his debut to run a solid race over course and distance last time out. The stable are in good form so it would be no surprise to see him in the shake up, but for the winner we return to Cawdor.
