Campeon has disappointingly failed to open his account so far but looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to do so and is taken to score at the main expense of Von Wessex and Slite. The last mentioned is less exposed than most of these and showed improved form when second to Ladruca over seven furlongs at Salisbury earlier this month. The drop to the minimum trip is not certain to suit the Ron Hodges-trained filly though and preference is for Campeon. Mark Wallace's gelding has had plenty of chances but this represents a big drop in class for the son of Desert Style, who need only reproduce his best form to beat these. Von Wessex looks exposed now and faces no easy task giving weight away all round and of more interest may be Nerys Dutfield's Wizzskilad, who has shown a consistent level of form. Richard Hannon's Ruby Muja ran better last time and is another worthy of a mention but Campeon has an obvious chance and gets the vote.
