Verdict

Pentland Lad has held his form well on the all-weather this year though both wins came over 7f. John Betjeman’s recent placed effort at Lingfield came over the same distance but Valentino Sunrise finished just in front of Urban Highway when third over the minimum trip here recently. KWELA was having her first start since September when unlucky over today’s distance at Lingfield. Beaten only a head despite a lack of a clear run in the closing stages, she’s taken to go one better. Painted Dream and Molly Blake are handicap newcomers to note and better is expected from Cracking Speed this year.
