In depth

Verdict

Bridge Valley has shown improvement with each start that he has had and Richard Hannon's colt has solid claims of following up his recent Sandown maiden race success but there was plenty to like about the way that I AM THAT won on his debut and he can follow up, getting the vote over Burgau Royal. Mick Channon's colt stepped up from a promising debut outing when chasing home Dubai Set in a Lingfield maiden last time and he has solid claims receiving weight from the selection. It was only a seller that Ramamara won at Lingfield earlier this month but she ran better than expected when second to Music Show in a similar contest to this at Bath subsequently so she cannot be discounted. Gay Kelleway's Azif has been well held in all starts since winning her maiden here over five furlongs in April, while Fraamtaaztiic makes limited appeal in this grade first time up. It is disappointing that only the six runners line up for this novice stakes race but there is some quality among them with I Am That taken to make it two out of two.
