In depth

Verdict

Blackheath is taken to get the better of Phinerine and Le Chiffre in this claimer to open the card. The selection was a beaten favourite at Musselburgh last time but he had previously won well over this course and distance and there is doubting he goes particularly well here. He is no good thing but he does look to be the percentage call. Phinerine has been in really good form of late and he is another that goes especially well here. He has the plum draw today and is respected. Le Chiffre was reported by his jockey to be 'never travelling' when finishing well behind the selection last time but he had previously beaten him at Brighton. However, he has the worst of the draw today and for that reason he is taken. Dark Moon has a decent draw and this course and distance winner looks the best of the remainder. However, for the winner we will stick with Blackheath.
