Verdict

The consistent Amwell Pinot usually runs his race but has been beaten by a couple of lightly-raced progressive types on his last two starts and faces another of that ilk here in FALMOUTH BAY. Mark Johnston's charge ran on well to win a shade cosily over 7f here on his debut in January and today's extra distance will suit. Angelic Upstart may not have finished improving yet, despite his latest defeat at Lingfield, and this step up in trip should prove within the compass of recent 7f winner Silly Billy. Coral Moon is open to further progress and is another to consider.
