In depth

Verdict

A poor handicap here and where few make any appeal it's to THIN RED LINE we turn, ahead of Kimberley Downs and course and distance winner High Cross. The selection was a winner at Lingfield last time over a mile and is progressing well in this sphere. The three-year-old seems to have preference for longer trips and now he has qualified for a handicap mark he looks capable of further success. Three-year-old Kimberley Downs had shown ability on his debut and turned in an improved effort here last time to notch his first course win. The colt should have no problems with the longer trip here, is in good hands and is the type to progress further. High Cross was a course and distance winner back in early March but struggled last time out after being put up 7lb. She looks best treated here though and can do well in modest company. The market will probably hold the clues to the rest as good recent form is in short supply, our selection though is Thin Red Line.
