      Verdict

      Sable Island was only beaten half-a-length by a subsequent winner at Beverley and holds Cubswin on collateral form. African Beat recorded her only victory to date here in November but has yet to run a bad race, though is having a first run since February. WINSTON C hasn’t scored since his debut over 7f at Yarmouth in August but wasn’t beaten far on his only previous run over 1m3f on the all-weather. A more recent third at Newmarket is also decent form and he should have more to offer over this trip.
