        Verdict

        Red River Rock is expected to gain a deserved success here at the main expense of Mikimoto and Romil Star. Tim Fitgerald's four-year-old has put in two solid efforts recently, including a terrific battle with Red River Rebel at Southwell last time out. He was just out-battle in the closing stages and a similar gutsy run today could be enough to land this race. Mikimoto finished a close up third to the well backed Artzola last week and looks to be going the right way. Romil Star is one of the more consistent runners in the line up and put in another solid effort last time out when third to Cragganmore Creek at Southwell. He should again be in the firing line. The pick of the remainder could be Toni Alcala, but our idea of the winner is Red River Rock.
