Verdict

It remains to be seen if ALMARGO copes with a 6lb rise back over a longer trip after scoring over 6f last week. But doubts also surround the opposition so he gets the vote. Secret Suspect was well beaten stepped up in distance for her handicap debut but had won over course and distance before that. Quincel went close at this track last time but that was back in August and Brighton maiden winner Picks Pinta never figured on her latest start in September. Neither Big Boned nor Rostrum Farewell have shown anything so far though the suspicion remains both are capable of better.
