Verdict

Plenty of pace on here but the hope is that FAST FREDDIE can burn them all off; he gets the vote ahead of Caymen Fox and Steel City Boy. Stuart Parr's gelding has been in good form of late having returned to the all-weather after a fruit-less spell on turf. He has plenty of early pace and has a better draw today; he should run well. Steel City Boy has the ability and is not on a bad mark; interestingly Jim Crowley takes over in the saddle for the first time from trainer Ann Stokell. Figaro Flyer has a good record on the all-weather and is still not badly treated on a mark of 70, Canadian Danehill is tumbling down the handicap and will soon be a big danger, whilst Ten Down has had several yards but not lived up to potential. Caymen Fox has found one too good on each of his last two starts and that may occur again. A competitive handicap, and we will side with Fast Freddie.
