Captain Navarre found this sort of trip to his liking at Kempton and though having no real form on this surface has to be respected. Gabrial's Star won over the course and distance in May and scored easily at Southwell last month so it's a surprise that he's on this mark though he disappointed here last time. The three-year-old Silver Link was heavily supported for a maiden over 1m5f here last month and never looked in any danger. If she continues on the upgrade she should make a bold bid as should Steaming, another lightly-raced maiden winner on a fair mark. ROYAL RESERVE (NAP) has won over shorter on this track but was tackling this trip in a much better race at Kempton last time. He couldn't quite get to the leading pair in a slowly-run race and this looks more his kind of grade.
