Verdict

LUCY THE PAINTER looks sure to be raised more than the 6lb extra she carries for last week's romp at Kempton. She is clearly much improved having won by over four lengths over today's trip on that occasion and can go in again. Eastern Dragon looked to have a good chance of landing a hat-trick last time unpenalised for an earlier win at Lingfield. But he made a mess of it and is 9lb higher today. Black Truffle won three times over track and trip last year but has yet to threaten so far this year while Al's Memory won over a mile at Lingfield in January and has failed to figure since.
