In depth

Verdict

This is another wide open handicap and the main protagonists would appear to be BID FOR GLORY, Nisaal and Dr Jameson; slight preference is for Bid For Glory. Hugh Collingridge has a couple of fancied runners on the card and the selection will not have to improve much from his run here last month if he is to win this. That day he finished a close third behind Hits Only Cash and he certainly looks capable of winning off his current mark. Nisaal went close when last seen out at Hamilton in a race won by Shy Glance. He is making his all-weather debut tonight but if he handles the surface he would have an obvious chance. Dr Jameson is back up in trip which could be deemed a negative as he has yet to prove his effectiveness over anything beyond a mile. Four Tel is another who has a bit to prove over this trip, although it is worth noting that he has run well in the past at this venue. Bid For Glory ticks plenty of boxes and gets the vote.
