    Verdict

JALAAD was giving plenty of weight to three-year-olds when winning at Doncaster on his reappearance. An apprentice’s allowance reduces today’s penalty and the Godolphin charge can go in again. Youthful signed off last year with a course and distance success and has been gelded subsequently while Jilbaab ran well in a decent contest at Salisbury last month and is preferred to her owner’s newcomer Baraajeel, who represents a different trainer. Heagear is applied to Derry Boy after a poor effort in a handicap but he looks pretty exposed now.
