In depth

Verdict

Ex Oriente will need to settle better if he's to last home after looking one-paced in the closing stages at Sandown last time. In contrast, COOL HAND LUKE was slowly away on his debut at Chester and caught the eye staying on well to finish fifth. He gets the vote with that experience under his belt and improvement expected. Harrier Hill showed little on his debut and needs more time, while Bounty Seeker has been aimed high after a couple of promising efforts in May but finished last on both occasions. The remainder make no appeal, though Frank Sheridan trains his horses at this track and newcomer Aglaja is worth a second look.
