Blythe Spirit is a sporting selection in a wide open contest, a case can also be made for Henry Tun, Byo and Monte Major and there three are also expected to run well. Richard Fahey's seven-year-old was rated 80 this time last year and has since plummeted down the weights. He showed enough last time behind Canadian Danehill to suggest he can still win races and off today's mark he looks set to go close. Henry Tun is chasing a hat-trick following victories here and at Southwell. The handicapper may now have him in his grip, but nevertheless he should still be involved in the finish. Monte Major returned to winning ways last week and still looks progressive as does Byo who also gained a deserved success last time out. Taboor needs everything to drop right but has been running well and looks the pick of the others, however Blythe Spirit looks well treated today and gets our vote.
