        Verdict

        Richard Whitaker’s string has struck form with a vengeance but it’s difficult to make a case for Billy Roberts on this year’s efforts. Berkshire Philly was only beaten a neck over track and trip last time but has gone back up in the weights. G For Gabrial has only found one too good the last twice and has only had one run on the all-weather but BEAU GESTE (NAP) is 3-3 here and has run well in both starts since returning from a break so gets the nod. Traveller was successful at Newcastle 11 days ago and has also won around here this year so can’t be ignored.
