We open the card with a five furlong handicap in which the on form TOTAL IMPACT looks well weighted on his return to these ranks and is taken to get the better of Excellent Show while Stolt is respected back to a competitive rating. A winner of a claimer last time the pick returns to handicap company racing off a mark six pounds lighter than when last in front. Connor Dore¿s charge has been running well for some time now and should continue the run here. Excellent Show battled well to get up by a neck over this trip at Kempton on his last run. That result capped an improving run of form and given he may have won a shade cosier than that margin suggested last time the two pound extra on his back might be lenient. Stolt hinted at a slight return to form at Southwell on his last outing an with two pounds removed from his mark for that run he is now off a winning rating. Argentine won on his last start but his load looks a little high under a penalty while Wotashirtful looks to be in the same boat under a career high mark. A competitive start to the day where Total Impact looks weighted to win.
