There are some interesting newcomers in the opening maiden including Effervesce, Jounce and the two runners trained by Barry Hills, Sweet Caroline and Hovering Hawk, but it is hard to get away from HUROOF. Saeed Bin Suroor's filly has run well on both starts so far in finishing under two lengths behind the winner in maidens at Newmarket and Folkestone and she has a decent opportunity to become another two-year-old winner for the stable. A market move for Chicane would be of interest first time up for William Haggas but of more interest may be Sir Michael Soute's Effervesce. She is bred to be useful being by Galileo out of a Royal Academy filly and may be good enough on her debut but the yard have struggled with their juveniles this term so she may be best watched unless the market speaks in her favour. John Gosden's Gone West filly Jounce has to be respected on her first start, while Sweet Caroline looks the pick of the two runners trained by Barry Hills with Darryll Holland booked. The newcomers are of interest but it is hard to get away from Huroof, who can put her experience to good use.
