In depth

Verdict

Those to have raced previously do not have a great deal to recommend them with Spinning Well looking the pick over Monaco Dream but this may go to one of the newcomers with Kevin Ryan's DECIBEL, who has shown reasonable form in bumpers, looking the pick on his flat racing debut. The other newcomer Boa also has experience in bumpers and she has to be considered making her debut under Flat Racing rules for Reg Hollinshead. John Quinn's Dawnhill ran well on his debut at Nottingham in June 2008 but has not been seen since then so may be best watched, while Jennie Candlish's Tropical Blue is capable but is becoming expensive to follow. Spinning Well and Monaco Dream both have ratings of 72 and have shown ability but the former has only her second start for Ralph Beckett having formerly been trained in Ireland and there may be more to come from her. There are several interesting runners in this contest but Decibel looked useful in bumpers and can open his account under Flat Racing rules today.
