In depth

Verdict

Not a race that should take much winning and this looks a good opportunity for Saponi to get off the mark. The five-year-old has clearly had his training problems as he didn't make his debut until last month but showed plenty of ability when a close third in a one-mile maiden at Southwell. The son of Indian Ridge looked the likely winner early in the straight and will appreciate the drop back to 7f so should prove hard to beat with the experience under his belt. Jamie Osbourne's Ex-French performer Spindor is hard to assess but had shown a uiseful level of form (in the context of this race) in his native country and his stable has to be feared at this venue while Its All Eurs represents a powerful yard and has the ability to go close. Newcomer Spaniola wouldn't have to be anything out of the ordinary to figure and should be noted for any significant moves in the market.
