Verdict

Division two of the seller may go to Bella Pavlina ahead of Chantry Falls, Royal Lustre and Sweetwater. All of Bella Pavlina's five career wins have come on the all-weather, the first two of them here at Dunstal Park. Mark Brisbourne's mare was a revelation last year, her biggest success being in a class C handicap at Southwell in March, and it may be that she has just taken time to come to hand, having had six outings since her return to the fray in December. The fact that she lines up in selling company is a bit disconcerting, but her class may tell. Chantry Falls finally opened his account at the 21st time of asking here in January on what was his first outing for David Evans. He was immediately claimed by Greg Chung and has been unplaced in two runs for the stable. He should be acclimatised now and will be expected to fare better, but it is hard to fancy him more than Bella Pavlina. Royal Lustre is still a maiden and pays his first visit to the track but he has performed not too badly at Southwell this season and is another to note along with Sweetwater who has a low draw and an up-and-coming apprentice on board. Bella Pavlina is the pick.
