Verdict

An intriguing affair made all the more so by the presence of Highfield Princess who drops down to the minimum trip for the first time in her 23-race career, having been primarily campaigned at 7f. It's a fascinating move but we'll let her run and see how she goes, likewise stable companion Lord Riddiford, who was notably off-key the last day. Course and distance winner Tone The Barone impressed with the style of his Lingfield success at Class 2 level this month and must go well but MAY SONIC will be all the better for last month's comeback run and has every chance on the best of his sprint handicap form, especially with Tyler Heard claiming a valuable 5lb.
