Verdict

Tee Jay Kassidy gets a narrow vote over Beauteous, with Illustrious Duke a place possible. Tee Jay Kassidy has plenty more to offer judged on his latest effort at Southwell where he beat Baytown Flyer by a short-head on what was his first outing in a year. That was only his seventh ever run, and he has obviously improved since disappointing on Turf last summer. He should be capable of edging out Beauteous who has to concede six pounds to the selection after his first win for Mark Polglase over six furlongs at Southwell last time. The trip is a bit of a worry for both of them but on the balance of form they should still be the pair to beat. There are no such doubts about Illustrious Duke who showed his first bit of form for a long time when second at Southwell at the weekend. He is well weighted these days and makes place appeal. For the winner we return to Tee Jay Kassidy.
