Verdict

PIRES looks capable of landing the feature event on the card on his first outing since finishing third in the Cambridgeshire. He has a 4lb higher mark and a different surface to cope with but he has run well at Dundalk and can cope with the handicapper's attentions in this smaller field. Mystery Star drops in trip but showed a decent turn of foot when winning over fourteen furlongs last time and should remain competitive whilst Nanton merits respect as he bids to capitalise on a lower all-weather mark. Moyenne Corniche makes his debut for a new yard and needs to be monitored for support, Tominator has been running well of late and is entitled to be on the premises whilst neither Bivouac nor Mister New York can be ruled out with any degree of confidence.
