Verdict

Reveur can make the most of the weight that he receives from Moi Aussie, with Grand Jeur and Katchit making for a close contest. This looks a cracking contest in fact, with both Fusili and Ten Shun taken out of recent contests to wait for this and adding to the spice, but Reveur impressed with the manner of her victory over the course and distance a fortnight ago, and is taken to follow up. That gutsy win showed that her earlier 50-1 success on her first start for her new stable was no fluke, and even with a nine-pound rise she must be followed. Moi Aussie was possibly unlucky when a close third at Lingfield last time as she lost ground at the start, but her chance today is hindered by the fact that she has been raised three-pound for an earlier Southwell win. Grand Jeur was not stopping at the end when making all at Lingfield six days ago, so if lasting out will be there at the finish, while Katchit looks held by Moi Aussi at least on recent running. All in all, a trappy little affair with so many holding claims, and only a narrow vote goes to Reveur.
