      Verdict

An open look to this handicap and we will side with top weight WALDORF to see off King Of Legend, Alfredtheordinary and Ergo. The selection ran on well to outpoint Stoic Leader here last time on what was his handicap debut. William Muir does not run too many on the artificial surfaces and when he does it often pays to take note, and with improvement highly likely we will side with the Sadler's Wells colt to follow up. Alfredtheordinary does stay this far and won at Lingfield over a mile last time, but for whatever reason he doesn't seem to be as effective here as at the other Polytracks and we will take him on. Ergo was a course and distance scorer in February and a 4lb rise is fair enough. There is no reason why he can't run well again tonight, although a look at his record suggests that consistency is not his strong suit. King Of Legend won here in January and is weighted to be competitive, although a win might be just beyond him. My Mate Mal and Ardent Prince have frame claims, but Waldorf is preferred.
