Verdict

Justalord comes into this on the back of a good run last time, but the official ratings suggest this should lie between Garth Pool and Vendome. The latter would bolt up if producing the form that won him a handicap at Beverley in 2000, but seems out of sorts, so preference is for Garth Pool. He wasn't disgraced in an amateur's event last time and should benefit from the stronger handling of Ian Mongan tonight.
