In depth

Verdict

Marcus Tregoning has enjoyed a good time of it recently and he can have further success in this stayers' handicap with UNCLE KEEF, while Bold Adventure and Rare Coincidence are likely to put up stiff enough opposition. The selection looks well handicapped after a decent effort first time in this sphere when tried at Folkestone on good to soft last week. He should come on for that experience, where he raced as if he wanted further, and his trainer has been quick to give him the opportunity, which can pay off. Bold Adventure went very well when runner-up to Dan Buoy at Pontefract over 2m 2f last week. He won over today's course and distance prior to that from a mark 5lb lower than today's, but he has won here from this rating before and he is given great respect. Rare Coincidence is now 8lbs lower than a course and distance win last year, but recent efforts suggest that this may be as good as he is just now, for there has been little spark of late and we will take him on. They All Laughed goes well here and has minor claims, but Uncle Keef is preferred.
