In depth

Verdict

Spring Style is a tentative recommendation with Caribana and Opening Act appearing to be promising newcomers. The selection was easy to back on debut but she shaped well after getting outpaced and should have come on greatly for the run. She holds obvious claims if the newcomers are not up to much. Caribana is impeccably bred and looks one to bear in mind for the paddocks. Related to winners over further, a watch of the market is recommended. Opening Act was a relatively cheap acquisition at the sales by Paul Cole's stable. The trip does not appear a problem on pedigree. Cossack Prince showed marginal improvement between runs while Cozy Tiger ran much better than his 50/1 price tag on debut might have suggested. Spring Style is afforded the nomination.
